Motivational Presentations
Successfully completing our thru-hike of the 2,175-mile long Appalachian Tail, on September 25, 2006, was an exciting and life-changing experience; an adventure that has had a profound impact on how we view the world around us and that has offered us new insight and direction into how we approach life. Our desire is to share these insights and that inspiration with others.
We have developed several motivational presentations that are tailored for churches, businesses, industry and civic organizations as well as clubs and outdoor activities related organizations. We can provide talks specific to the Appalachian Trail or other trails in the Maryland and Virginia areas, as we also participate in the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC) “Trail Talkers” program. In this context, talks are suitable for State and National Parks, scout troops, and local organizations and include information about the Appalachian Trail as well as other trails in the Mid-Atlantic area.
If you are interested in having us speak at your church, conference, club or meeting, simply Contact us and send us a request for more information. Special offers are available for non-profit organizations.
If you would like to attend one of our upcoming presentations, look for them on our Calendar and Contact us for more details.
Talks include:
The Joys of Backpacking as a Couple (based on “Solemates”)
Spiritual Reflections from the Trail (based on “The Walk”)
The Care and Feeding of the Long-Distance Hiker
Appalachian Trail Reflections (“Reflections” DVD and A.T. Thru-hike Talk)
